Olof Sundin is professor in Library and Information Science at University of Borås and a member of The Linnaeus Centre for Research on Learning, Interaction and Mediated Communication in Contemporary Society. Sundin's research focuses mainly on information practices and literacies in occupational and educational contexts. He is particularly interested in the interplay between artifacts and information practices. Sundin is an associate member of the permanent committee of the international research conference Information Seeking in Context (ISIC) and a member of the International Network on Information Literacy Research. Sundin is also an associate professor at the Department of Arts and Cultural Sciences, Lund University.
Sundin currently researches the shaping and upholding of trust and authority of information in digital environments. Groups of actors he investigates include pupils, teachers, librarians, wikipedians and bloggers. He is project leader for:
