Research interests:

Children’s learning, development, socialization, and construction of identity in preschool, before and after school care, and school. Children’s own perceptions of and perspectives on life in preschool, before and after school care, school. Children’s rights. Integration and cooperation between sectors of the educational system, their societal functions and relations to the rest of society and children’s experiential world. Conceptions of gender and gender equality, ethnicity, diversity, and equal treatment.

Teaching interests:

Participate in teacher education and single-subject courses. Teach about themes like: children’s development, childhood, educational theories, ideas, and models, education & society, gender theory and gender equality, educational functions in preschool, before and after school care, and school, children’s perspectives and children’s rights.
