Research interests:

My primary research field concerns teachers’ and students’ perceptions and experiences of language teaching. My theoretical framework is constructivist, primarily influenced by personal construct psychology. Other research areas involve students’ language skills in English and charting and delineating teachers’ alternative forms of assessment.

Teaching interests:

I teach and supervise primarily in the field of subject-matter didactics, with a focus on learning in English in both basic and advanced undergraduate courses. I am also active as a teacher in the general components of teacher education programmes and in tertiary education teaching.

Keywords:

teacher conceptions, constructivist research, language learning, assessment of language skills
